Travel in Greece
This exotic country situated in the Balkan Peninsula, consist in a little piece of continent and a lot of islands. Its neighbours are Bulgaria, Macedonia, Albania, Turkey and Aegean Sea, Mediterranean Sea and Ionian Sea It consist in 13 districts: Attica, Central Greece, Central Macedonia, Crete, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Epirus, Ionian Islands, Northern Aegean, Peloponnesian, Southern Aegean, Thessaly, Western Greece, Western Macedonia and an autonomous region Athos Mountain (Ayion Oros – Holy Mountain) under Greek sovereignty. Greece has a continental part with many bays and peninsulas and about 3000 of islands situated in Aegean, Ionian and Mediterranean Sea. The most known islands are Crete, Rhodes and Corfu. Greece climate is mild with about 300 sunny days per year. The best periods for a holiday in Greece are from March to June and from September to October. Greece is a preferred holiday destination for the ones that love the sea with all it involve: pool villas, sun, beaches, sea food, relaxation, swimming and in the same time that want to visit historical sights, visit hotel accommodations. Greece Beaches - Beach Elia in Mykonos This is the longest beach in Mykonos, very well organised, having a large range of taverns and bars and a lot of facilities for nautical sports such as: water skiing, parasailing and windsurfing The restaurants and the hotels are high quality and they serve a high quality food. There is a part of the beach where they practice the nudism - Red Beach in Santorini Red Beach is one of most famous beach of Santorini. It is situated next to the village and archaeological sight Akrotiri. - Mylopotas Beach in Ios It is the most crowded and well known beaches of Ios Island. The beach is equipped with lounge chairs and beach umbrellas and offers the possibility of practice of a large range of nautical sports. - Psili Ammos Beach in Serifos Psili Ammos is one of the most popular beaches of Serifos, situated on the Eastern coast of the island, 8km far from Livadi Port. Pisili Ammos means “fine sand”, water is not very deep and on beach border there are trees that ensure the shadow; all these things make this beach a proper place especially for children. - Plaka Beach in Naxos Situated between Maragas beach and Agia Anna Beach, this is one of the longest beaches in Naxos. It has a golden sand and large and wide stones One part of the beach is equipped with lounge chairs and the other is kept in its natural state and it is very beautiful. - Kolymbithres Beach in Paros Kolymbithres Beach is the most famous beach of Paros Island being situated in Naoussa bay. A line of little bays form the beach Kolymbithres and if you are lucky you could tale a bath in a little bay only yours. - Little Banana Beach in Skiathos Banana Beach is the name of a group of tree beaches very beloved especially by the nudists. The name comes from beaches arched shape and from sand yellow golden colour. Little Banana is considered the best beach for nudism in Greece.
