Reaching the first stop a stone away from the Palazzaccio (Justice Palace) in Piazza dei Tribunali, where a few steps away you will be able to admire the most powerful and imposing Castle ever built in Rome, St. Angel Castle. Once the tomb of the Emperor Hadrian that, during the centuries, changed its used from funerary tomb to a Pope residency, to a secured hidden fortress where the popes could refuge during the siege of Rome then, a prison with torture chambers.
Just few yards away, you can look at the magnificent St. Peter’s Basilica from the top of Via della Conciliazione. A perfect perspective view that will blow your eyes. Feast your eyes with one of the most suggestive colonnade that surround St. Peter’s square designed and built by Bernini in the 17th century. You cannot missed out one of the most visited Basilica in world, St. Peter’s Basilica with its Baroque and Renaissance facade style dominating the square and the skyline with its perfectly designed dome. The Basilica itself was designed by the most sought after architects of the 16th and 17th centuries like Michelangelo, Bernini, Bramante and Antonio da Sangallo.

Meet your tour leader at a designed meeting point for the second part of this fantastic Panoramic tour, the Ancient Rome. Driving through the monument of Victor Emanuell II well known as Venice Square with its white washed marble monument dedicated to the first King of Italy. Then continue to the wonderful Marcello Theatre once used for performaces of drama and songs in the Roman Republic era. Your tour leader will also point you out that, right at the top of the Theatre, still today, you will be able to see the residency of one of the most powerful family of Rome, the Pamphjli. A family that aimed the power and the papacy since early 17th century and gained papacy in 1644 under the name of Pope Innocenzo X.
During your ride, we will pass along one of the most important ancient stadium ever built during the Romans period, Maximum Circus. An ancient Chariot racing and other popular games stadium that held 250 thousands spectators all in one time.
Reaching to Via San Gregorio where you will look at the famous Arch of Costantine and next to it, the imposing, most visited monuments of Rome, the Flavian Amphitheatre well known as the Colosseum built for Vespasian around 70/80 a.D. The inauguration is been told that, lasted for 100 days with gladiators fights for their life vs other gladiators or even animals like lions.
Meet up again at a designed meeting point with your tour leader and heading by coach to the Baroque centre of the city of Rome. You will be visiting Trevi Fountain, built by Nicola Salvi in 1762. This masterpiece is embedded in to a palace and was commissioned by Pope Urban VIII to Bernini. The project was once abbandoned when the Pope died and in 1730, Pope Clement XII commissioned the fountain to Nicola Salvi. Works began in 1732 and terminated 30 years later by Pietro Bracci. Admire the statues of busts and horses with running water filling up the lower pool where millions of visitor, as per legend, throuws a coin while making a wish.
After visiting the Trevi Fountain, you will have lunch break for approx 30/40 for a quick bite or even just an ice-cream in the local delicatessen.
Not to leave behind the most preserved temple with its massive dome, the Pantheon. Dating back to 27 b.C. and 14 a.D. and commissioned by Agrippa during the reign of Augustus and rebuilt in in 126 a.D. by the Emperor Hadrian. You may walk inside to admire the tombs of King Victor Emanuell II and Raphael Tomb but, looking up to the dome, its where all the enormous opening at the top can be seen. Dedicated to the Holy Spirit and today dedicated to Saint Mary and the Martyrs.
At last, the wonderful Piazza Navona (Navona Square) with its lovely side fountains and the centre masterpiece of Bernini, the Four River Fountain. Piazza Navona, as is called today, once was the Amphitheatre of Domitian. The changes came during the centuries and today, is one of the most sought after Piazzas of Rome. With its unique Church of St. Agnes and the most imporntant fountain that reign for centuries the square, Four River Fountain.
Terminated this lovely panoramic tour, you will be boarding the coach again and heading back to Civitavecchia Port.

Depart from Rome at 4pm and arrival at the Port of Civitavecchia, in front of the shuttle service bus stop at approx 5:15pm

Crossing the River Tiber we will be reaching Venice Square, the geographical centre of Rome, with its majestic monument to the 1st King of Italy and the Imperial Forums (in the Trajan private one a column with the description of the two wars won in Romania). Before reaching other monuments of Rome, we will pass beside the most famous Capitole Hill designed by the master of all masters, Michelangelo. Not to leave behind, the fabulous Santa Maria di Aracoeli Basilica. Along the ride you will have a fantastic opportunity to look at the Marcello Theatre commissioned by Augustus the Emperor but, the most unique feature is that, on top of this ancient building, you will be able to see one of the residency of the Pamphjli Family, one of the powerful and important family of Rome that aimed and reached the papacy.
Driving along you will be explained the Boario Forum where the Temple of Portuno and Temple of Hercules. Two of the finest smallest Temples situated in the centre of Rome. Your guide also will point you out where to look for the Basilica of St. Mary in Cosmedin with its huge bell tower and the Mouth of Truth where the legend says that, if you have you hand inside of it and you are telling a lie, the mouth will bite your fingers off.

At this point, you have terminated the Ancient Rome side of this unique tours.Getting on the coach with your guide, we will heading to the Baroque side of the city where you will truly appreciate the 16th, 17th, 18th centuries that made Rome modern for its time. Starting with the fabulous Trevi Fountain designed originally by Bernini but, the works were never carried out due to the death of Pope Urban VIII. Stop for lunch. Your will have approx. 30/40 minutes to have lunch or even just an ice-cream in the local delicatessen.
Walking to the Pantheon, the greatest pagan temple made 2000 years ago and still standing today. The imposing dome with its opening at the top will blow your mind and feast your eyes for the perfect harmony that the building communicate with you. Finish off with what once was called the Stadium od Domitian, Piazza Navona where the greatest architects of 17th century Bernini and Borromini, always in competition, reached their highest perfection with the Church of St. Agnes in Agone designed and built by Borromini and the masterpiece of Bernini, the Four River Fountain.
