Taj Mahal has become the icon of Indian tourism and is counted as one of the 7 modern wonders of the world. Legends say that this monument was built in the memory of Mumtaz Mahal, the beloved wife of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Taj Mahal is a symbol of true and eternal love. Fatehpur Sikri

The founder of this famous architecture is the great Mughal emperor Akbar. It was the capital of Mughal Empire during 1571-1585. It is the birth place for navaratnas. It is popular for its different art works and is constructed with red stones.

Red fort

This fort was commissioned by Akbar (Mughal emperor) in 1565. The red sandstone fort was reformed into a palace in Shajahan’s period. The red fort is divided into various parts such as Jahangir’s Palace, Diwan-e-Khas (Public & Private viewer’s hall), Musammam Burj, Pearl Mosque, Diwan-e-Am, Shish Mahal and Khas Mahal.

Akbar’s tomb

This beautiful tomb was built for Mughal emperor Akbar. Akbar had started the work in 1600 himself. It is one of the beautiful creations of Mughal dynasty located in Agra.

Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb

This tomb was constructed in the command of Noor Jahan. Noor Jahan had built this tomb for her father Mirza Ghiyas Bagh. There are various precious stones embedded in the walls of this tomb.

Jama Masjid

Jama Masjid was built by Shah Jahan in 1648 and his dedicated to one of his daughter, whom he considered his favorite. It is one of the biggest mosques in this region.

Moti Masjid

Moti Masjid is a holy place of Agra. It was built by Shah Jahan for worship for the members of his court. It is one of the most popularly known architectures of Agra known for its beautiful art work and designs.
